48 % of the Romanians want their troops to leave Afghanistan
About 48 % of the Romanians want the total retreat of the Romanian troops in Afghanistan, according to the results of an annual study made by Transatlantic Trends. According to the poll, the majority of the citizens of the EU member states and 62 % of the Turkish citizens are skeptical about the stability of the situation in Afghanistan. 77 % oppose to the supplementation of the foreign military troops of Afghanistan. In the same time, the Americans are optimistic about the perspectives of Afghanistan stabilization and support the call of Barack Obama administration to add more troops. According to the study, 48 % of the Romanian citizens want the total retreat of the Romanian troops from Afghanistan, while 16 % support the idea of maintaining the situation as it is now, and only 5 % of them agree to send more troops in Afghanistan.
