Romanian flight school needs 8 years to provide sufficient pilots for low-cost airlines flight
The Romanian flight school will need at least eight years to cover demand for commercial pilots of the top two players on the local low-cost market, given their future expansion. While Blue Air and its main competitor, the Hungarian Wizz Air company, say they will need a further 120 and 65 pilots, respectively, in the next few years, the only authorized school for commercial pilots in Romania organizes classes for 30 people annually, of which only 20 are commercial pilots.
